Anything you've bought at least twice. Items are matched by description, so type the same name each time (e.g. "12 kg kibble bag"). For price per kg, enter the kg as units.
Vet bills include medication. Claims count in the year they were made.

Your records stay in this browser. Save to file keeps a copy in your cloud storage or a folder; Load from file merges in changes from your other device.
Loading merges: new entries, edits and deletions from both devices are kept, newest change winning. On a PC (Chrome or Edge), the first save asks where to put the file: pick a folder your other device can reach, such as one your cloud storage keeps in sync. After that, Save writes to the same file. On a phone, Save opens the share menu: choose your cloud storage app (OneDrive, Google Drive and so on) or Files. Both devices save paw-ledger.txt. Older paw-ledger.json files still load.
The file includes the microchip, licence and policy numbers, so keep it out of email and shared folders.
